bride_magConde Nast Magazines Ask Get-Fit-At-Home.co.uk To Work With Their Bride!

Conde Nast, which publishes three separate bridal magazines (Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and Brids) has asked Get-Fit-At-Home to work with one of its April 2008 brides. Conde Nast is working on a story that follows four brides through pre-wedding fitness and weight-loss programs. Get-Fit-At-Home.co.uk was selected from hundreds of firms to work with one of their brides based in South West London, near Richmond.

Steve Johnson, who has trained Melissa Porter and other celebrities, was chosen to take on the challenge between the four esteemed fitness firms and professionals. The story will be appearing in April or May 2008 and get-fit-at-home.co.uk looks forward to seeing the result. We are working with a bride who is size 14 and would like to be a size 12 for her wedding day.

Get-Fit-At-Home.co.uk has named a new marketing director, Sophie Bentham-Wood. Sophie is set to start at the newly created role as of January 1, 2008.
 
Sophie has been in the sports industry for the past 3 years, working with industry giants Adidas, Gillette, and Allianz/BMW Oracle. She has recently worked with sporting figures such as Tiger Woods, former England Football Captain David Beckham, Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer, France's Footballer Tierry Henry and England's World Cup Winner Jason Robinson.
 
Sophie started in public relations and marketing back in 1994 and has worked for industry giants McCann-Erikson Manchester, Ketchum, and, most recently, Hill & Knowlton London.
 
A keen fitness student and long-distance runner herself, she looks forward to working with the team at Get-Fit-At-Home.com to increase awareness of the various services and training offered along with garnering support for the trainers and the industry as a whole as health and fitness takes a greater role in day-to-day life and withing government health policies.

The rapidly growing team of personal trainers and therapists at www.get-fit-at-home.com will be offering their services for free in aid of Sparks, The Sport Aiding Medical Charity for Kids at this year’s Christmas Ball for the national charity.

Sparks, who’s past president Martin Johnson has always been one of the biggest supporters, is one of the leading charities aiding medical research for infants and kids.

MelissaPorterMelissa Porter, presenter of the BBC’s “Country File” and now business owner and designer with her own firm of Porter & Smurfit, along with other well-known celebrities and a few of the trainers will be at the www.get-fit-at-home.com table for the Winter Ball, at the London Hilton on December 13, 2007. Melissa has trained for years with Steve Johnson, one of the leading trainers at www.get-fit-at-home.com

“Get-Fit-At-Home.com wants to be a leader when it comes to the health of our young people and to fight obesity at an early age,” said company spokesperson Sophie Bentham Wood. “With the government’s announcement of the dangers of obesity in young people it’s imperative that young people not only get the right medical care as infants, but the right physical education”

Get-Fit-At-Home.com plans to donate £1,000 along with raffling off two packages of 5 hour sessions to two lucky auction winners.

Arianna, fresh off her dance role on the West End stage in the hit musical Bombay Dreams, has joined the team at the fastest growing, mobile team of London, Manchester and Norwich personal trainers. Arianna is looking forward to using her dance experience and routines to help bring fitness and cardio vascular health to her clients. She uses dance as a foundation for her personal training and nutritional work with her numerous private clients.

Get Fit At Home is now well-established for training many West End celebrities and personal trainer Claire Harrigan is currently training two TV celebrities, preparing them for their roles in a jail-based drama on ITV.

Get-Fit-At-Home.co.uk Expanding To Norwich and Manchester

Summer is booming and so is business at London’s biggest mobile personal training company. With 28 London personal trainers on board now, Get-fit-at-home.co.uk is expanding to Norwich.

I am excited to be adding cities to our coverage area – not just more London suburbs,” says managing director Ed Jones.

Starting 1 June 2007, Get-Fit-At-Home.co.uk will have trainers available for the first time in Norwich. Starting 1 July 2007, Manchester will be added to the cities covered by all of their qualified personal trainers, fitness coaches and yoga instructors.

Phones are manned from 8 am to 8pm – 7 days a week to take consultations and appointment times and field any questions that those who would like to be fit for the summer will have!
