City A.M.’s Fitness Writer Mayling Joins Get-Fit-At-Home

16 November 2006maylingsuit

Now about to start writing for North London’s Ham & High Newspaper, Mayling is one of London’s leading fitness authorities. Mayling is not only trained in personal training to the highest levels, but she is also a fabulous instructor in the martial arts, specialising in Taekwon Do and Kung Fu.

A recognised model and actress as well, Mayling is trained in weapons and usually sports a few bruises from her work with Nunchackers and her double hand broad sword! Somehow, she avoided too many bruises and took home 1st place in The DKNY James Bond Girl Competition in Singapore just recently.

As you can see, Mayling’s background is very varied, having lived all over the world in such exotic locations as Singapore and Tenerife. Now making London her home, Mayling is committed to her clients, and indeed City A.M. newspaper tracked two of her clients as a weekly fitness series. Both clients made enormous improvements, and Mayling became well known in the City and Canary Wharf areas as the fitness journalist for the regional newspaper. Now, Ham & High has brought her on board to work in their fitness writing department.

Mayling is looking to help any and all with their fitness and she is ready to train with anyone as well. She is one of the fittest women you will meet, so if you want someone to push you along your road to fitness, email her today at mayling@get-fit-at-home.com or call us to book your program on 772 539 7400 at any time, 7 days a week!

Get-Fit-At-Home Adds Celebrity Trainer Steve Johnson!

London, 6 August 2006

Steve Johnson, trainer to some of London’s fittest celebrities, has joined the team of expert trainers at www.get-fit-at-home.com

Steven is a dynamic personal trainer, specialising on strength and conditioning. He has several years experience under his belt. His training is explosive, and involves speed, agility and co-ordination, combined and supplemented with some very unusual and inventive exercises which are highly effective, as his clients will testify.

melissa_porterSteve’s latest student is none other than the gorgeous television presenter Melissa Porter. Known for fronting BBC’s “Put Your Money Where Your House Is” and “To Buy Or Not To Buy”, Melissa has always been a health nut, but she has worked hard with Steve to bring about quite a change in her toned physique.

Steve has a wealth of experience personally and professionally in sports, athletics and weight training. You may recognise Steve and his imposing physique as he has appeared in the Extreme Fitness TV Series on Sky 1.

Steve is very happy to be working with Get-Fit-At-Home and looks forward to working with a host of new and current clients at Get-Fit-At-Home.com

Personal Trainers Who Make House Calls!

London, 5 June 2006

runningA new type of personal trainer has hit the streets of Central London. Get-Fit-At-Home.com has launched this month to wide acclaim and a growing popularity.

“Rather than recurring gym charges as a member of gyms for years, I thought how could I have had more for my money out of personal training?” asks Ed Jones, founder of Get-Fit-At-Home.com. Ed alludes to the many times he lacked the motivation to get up, get out and get to the gym. “Now, you can’t escape. We bring the gym, dance studio, or class to you. We are working at the highest level of ‘personal’ training.”

Jones works with over a dozen professional and self-employed trainers across London who come to your home, office, or local park for personal training, pilates, yoga, and dance fitness. The trainers have worked with beginners all the way to celebrities pushing the physicality limits, like actress Romola Garai, who had to heighten her fitness and dance knowledge for her last movie: Havana Nights – Dirty Dancing 2. “But most of our clients,” says Jones, “are business people who need that extra motivation or mothers who want to squeeze in an hour of exercise but don’t want the hassle of 30 minutes travelling and changing clothes at the gym.”

The best part of the whole operation for the client is that you only pay for the time you have a trainer on site working with you. There are no recurring direct debits to forget about and see later on your bank statement. Get-Fit-At-Home.com can bring any equipment the client asks for as part of their training, from Swiss Balls to free weights, from mats to body fat and body mass indexing measuring devices.

The first session is free and serves as a consultation for both sides involved. “We find out what the perspective client is hoping for out of their training, if they are advanced or a beginner in the disciplines, and where and how to park!” says Jones. The client gets to meet with either one or two possible trainers, discusses what they have liked and disliked about their previous experiences and brings attention to any injuries or recurring weaknesses in the body

Get-Fit-At-Home.com offers personal training anywhere within the North and South Circular Roads and will arrive either by public transport, scooter, or car depending on the amount of equipment needed for each session.

“What is surprising is that we thought we would get more people running and lifting, but dance fitness, a cardio vascular workout with Latin dance overtones, is proving to be the most popular session we offer.” Jones says. “I guess people want to learn how to salsa and rhumba while getting fit and shedding pounds at the same time in the privacy of their own homes”. Maybe the real reason this format is so popular is that Get-Fit-At-Home has the founder and instructor of Latin Jazz Workout on its team.

But aside from this popular aspect, Get-Fit-At-Home trainers, who are fully insured for travel and training, provide running partners in the parks and offer full weight-loss programs which includes visits to the local grocery store! The fitness experts also work widely with pre and post natal women, all of whom want to stay fit during and after pregnancy.

Bookings are made either via email at post@get-fit-at-home.com, the website at www.get-fit-at-home.com or by phone on 772 539 7400. Bookings made by 10 am can be same-day if the client is very eager to get in a session before the end of the day. There are large discounts for booking sessions in advance and for “corporate bonding” days through physical exercises and event management, all of which is catered for.
